In 2023, DeegSports started tracking production data for NFL players based on what college they played for. That data was posted weekly on X for many stats, including Passing, Receiving, Rushing, Interceptions and Sacks. Over time, that evolved to be more comprehensive & broken out by position groups. That offseason DeegSports took it to the next level by going back in time. Not only was there tracking for the current season, but now historical data by position group going back to as far as 1966 for some positions.
With this historical basis, DeegSports was able to start producing a stat-based Position U view for different positions, becoming a trusted source for unbiased Position U claims. The position charts quickly grew on X, with data being shared by multiple football programs such as Alabama and Mississippi State. Not only did football programs take notice, but so did the coaches & players. Over 50+ coaches and players have retweeted, shared, and posted stats by DeegSports.
With time, DeegSports expanded to NBA stats as well, with 5 years of data tracked currently and more to come in the future. Today DeegSports has expanded on a few different fronts: Website, Instagram, and Youtube. On the website you can find all the great data from social posts with far more detail: not only do you have the top 5 or 10 teams as shown on graphics, but you can deep-dive into EVERY school ranked in the given time period. Instagram is the home for all of the great data of DeegSports to be shared in an easy-to-digest graphical manner. Youtube is where you can go deeper into the data and hear analysis into historical seasons, team breakdowns, and more to come in the future.

This site is broken up into 6 main parts currently: Position, Current Season, Team Pages, Awards, Records, and NBA.
- Position: Here you can find historical NFL stats for each position group broken down by the college each player attended. There are 8 tabs, one for each position group. Within each tab there will be a leaderboard with a time-period laid out for which the data is aggregated.
- Current Season: This tab is very similar to the Position tab, however it is focused only on the current NFL season and there are less position groups available. DL & LB are combined into a "Front 7" view and no OL or TE stats are shown.
- Team Pages: This page contains links to each team's page, where you can dive into the players who make up the aggregate numbers shown in the Position tab. More team pages will be added over time.
- Awards: Here you can find aggregate awards and team selections in the NFL by college. Examples include: All Pros, MVPs, & DPOYs.
- Records: A DeegSports special, where you can see the records for aggregate stats in a single NFL season by colleges. For example: In 2024 LSU Wide Receivers in the NFL got the most combined receiving yards ever in a single season by players from the same college.
- NBA: Similar to the Position tab, here you can dive into all NBA data by college. NBA data is NOT broken out by position.
Question: Which college is getting credit for a player who has played for multiple schools?
Answer: All stats are attributed to the college where the player was drafted from or last played for.
Question: I found an error in the data, how can I report it?
